Welcome to the Boerne Tennis Association

We are dedicated to fostering a lifelong, healthy lifestyle and promoting holistic development for disadvantaged youth in the Texas Hill Country through the transformative power of tennis. 

Our Story

In 2008, Kuda embarked on a life-changing journey to the United States, driven by the aspiration to explore opportunities within the tennis community.  

This story begins in the vibrant city of Mutare, Zimbabwe at the Manicaland Tennis Association.

Mission

To help the underserved in the Hill Country achieve physical, mental, and emotional well-being through tennis.

Vision

To empower all disadvantaged youth in our community to achieve and maintain good health, acquire knowledge, develop leadership skills, embrace sportsmanship, and cultivate overall well-being through their engagement in tennis.

Edward Sengai

Program Director

As the Head Tennis Professional at Boerne Tennis Center since 2021, Edward Sengai brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the role. With a background as a former collegiate tennis player in the NAIA and a standout junior player in Zimbabwe, Edward has achieved national coaching awards and rankings, demonstrating his dedication to excellence both on and off the court.

Currently pursuing a PhD in Organizational Leadership, Edward is committed to leading the Boerne Tennis Association’s programs with a focus on professionalism, innovation, and community impact. With a passion for the sport and a vision for making tennis accessible to all, Edward aims to leverage the resources and programs of Boerne Tennis Association to enrich lives and promote inclusivity in our community.

Together, we can serve, inspire, and  empower individuals of all backgrounds to discover the joy of tennis and the benefits of active living.
